Dealing with mental health issues of staff and workers can be very difficult for employers. With mental health affecting one in six workers in the UK, this tool kit is designed to help both employers and employees through the return to work process.

Mental ill-health affects one in six workers in the UK. Often when people have taken some time off work for mental ill-health, knowing what to do or say can be hard. A team of researchers at Kingston University, Loughborough University, Loughborough University Enterprise Ltd and Affinity Health at Work have developed a toolkit to support employees and employers through the return to work process following mental health sickness absence. The toolkit includes employee and employer guides, conversation frameworks, checklists and self-led activities to help improve communication throughout absence and on return.
