2023 AFC Wombles Walk

Written byNatasha Morgan

On 30th September at 11am, our Premier Members, AFC Wimbledon are hosting their annual Wombledon 5km or 10km walk that ends at their stadium to watch the men’s 1st team home game vs Tranmere Rovers at 3pm*.

The Wombles Walk is a sponsored walk back to Plough Lane, with AFC Wimbledon Fans, Foundation participants, staff and members of our local community taking part to raise funds for AFC Wimbledon Foundation.

The 10km walk circles Wimbledon Common, where AFC Wimbledon held football trials just over 21 years ago.

The 5km walk circles Wimbledon Park, after our Saturday morning football for all session.

Both walks end at Plough Lane in time to enjoy the men’s 1st team home game vs Tranmere Rovers at 3pm.

The walks are open to everyone and are non-competitive.

All participants will receive fundraising support, an AFC Wimbledon Foundation t-shirt and a training programme, created by Execfit, to help prepare you for the walk. There are rest stops with refreshments along the route and you’ll get your finishers medal at the Cherry Red Records Stadium before the game.

*ADULT ENTRY (18 AND OVER)

Adult entry is £15 and we ask you reach a suggested fundraising target of £100 to get a FREE ticket to the match vs Tranmere Rovers.

JUNIOR ENTRY (17 AND UNDER)

Junior entry is £5 and we ask you reach a suggested fundraising target of £30 to get a FREE ticket to the match vs Tranmere Rovers.
