It is PRIDE MONTH and our Premier Members Boo Productions are here to give you some pride party tips! See their article below:

It’s that time of year again when we donne our progress flags and look back on all of the manifold contributions from the LGBTQIA+ community who are our colleagues, friends, and family.

Whether you identify as part of the community or a committed ally, you will definitely not want to miss out on the chance to celebrate and honour all of those past and present. It is the time of year when everyone is encouraged to be their most authentic self, be that the introvert or the exhibitionist extrovert, or anywhere in between, there is a way for you to fly your flag, get involved and revel in Pride!

Below are a few of our team’s favourite ways to see in this marvellous month, and make it more magnificent than ever! So read below to get some inspiration and let us help you bring your idea to life!

1 – In Person Pride Party There is no better way to celebrate, than with an event to make a splash in your company’s social calendar at this time of year. Whenever you have a chance to get your glad rags on and have a deeply disco moment or delightfully decadent drag soiree, grab that with both hands and take it to the runway!

2 – Marvellous MixologyIf your team isn’t one for pulling shapes on the dancefloor straight out the gate, you can ease them into all the fun of the fair by having this mouthwatering activity to get the chatter flowing and the drinks too. This doesn’t have to be alcohol-based and we always love to have a mouthwatering alcohol-free version or even a totally no-booze zone, to suit the needs and wants of your colleagues.

3 – Set the Camera, Scene Action! There is nothing better than some decadent decoration to bring a little life to the office and raise our spirits and consciousness during this magnificent month! Whether it be a picture-perfect photo wall at an event or an installation celebrating the trials and tribulations of the LGBTQIA+ community or anything in between.

4 – Fake it till you Make-upThe heart of drag is a great beat as they say, and another great way to bring your colleagues together, can be some masterfully applied makeup, and the only way to become a master is to practice. If you choose to run a workshop we have some super-skilled MUAs who can teach you how to get into drag, how to add a little pop to your look!  A new skill with a super fun edge, this is sure to create some buzz in your workspace.

5 – Communal Pride Playlist

Something that universally has the power to connect globally is music and the LGBTQIA+ community certainly knows how to do music. So why not set your team the challenge of co-curating the office playlist?  A phenomenal chance for the team to do a little digging into communal musical tastes and maybe even discover a new favourite shower singing anthem or car karaoke bop!

6 – Let the Games Begin!

If you choose to have an event, you can’t miss out on the chance to get the whole team involved in the fun and get into the games!  We at Boo, have a whole host of amazing hosts and performers who can amuse and enthrall your team with a mix of classic and fresh games. From the classics Bingo to a wonderfully weird and wacky Belly Button Bullseye and game of Mince/Mints, we can bring the fun like no other.

7 – Add a little sparkle to your morning meeting

There are few who can deny the sparkly allure of glitter. It is always a super popular addition to any event large or small across the gender spectrum – many folks love to feel FABULOUS! We’ve also enjoyed it, as a bit of lunch time fun, whilst playing a pride playlist during a special lunch, so don’t sleep on the shimmer…

Bonus – Take it virtual

If you are a team that has offices across the globe or you have teammates who work from home, then the fun doesn’t have to get curtailed. We have led many drag-filled virtual broadcasts, with all the fun of the fair and heaps of audience participation. So find a date that works for all …and let’s party!
