And the winners are . . .

Merton’s business heroes were celebrated at a dazzling awards ceremony at the All England Lawn Tennis Club.

The sold-out event was a wonderful opportunity for the Merton business community to get together and be rewarded in categories such as Champions of Change, Independent Business Award, Sustainable Impact and Best New Business.

The Merton Best Business Awards are designed to recognise businesses that have not only survived the events of the past year, but have shown resilience, excellence, innovation and best practice in the borough. A range of new categories and an easy application process attracted a high number of applications, as the Awards’ celebrated its tenth anniversary – testament to the resilience and determination of Merton’s businesses in the face of such difficult operating conditions.

It was a night full of celebrations for leaders in manufacturing bespoke mascots, Rainbow Productions, who came away with category awards for ‘Best in the Creative Sector’ and ‘Large Independent Business Award’ and were then crowned Best Business in Merton. The judges were impressed by their ability to bring joy daily to thousands of people – bringing a continued commitment to using locally trained Merton performers. Rainbow Productions is putting Merton on the map! A brilliant company that has some great examples of a business that is evolving and growing and employing a large number of local residents.

Diana Sterck, CEO of Merton Chamber of Commerce, organisers of the Merton Best Business Awards, commented, “We were delighted to host such a wonderful evening for our local businesses. Many congratulations to all the winners and to everyone that made it to the finals; and huge thanks to our sponsors and partners for their support.”
