Mayor announces major expansion to ULEZ scrappage scheme to cover all small businesses in London and all London families receiving child benefit

 

The announcement includes an additional £50m in funding, and specific extensions will be:

  • Small businesses and sole traders will be able to apply to scrap up to three vehicles, rather than just one.
  • All Londoners with a non-compliant car or motorcycle eligible for the scheme (from 21 August)

From today, the scrappage allowances will increase:

  • Vans from £5k to £7k
  • Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAVs) from £5k to £10k
  • Minibuses from £7k to £9k
  • Replace with electric van from £7.5k to £9.5k
  • Replace with electric minibus from £9.5k to £11.5k
  • Retrofit from £5k to £6k

Cars will remain at £2,000 (although you could be eligible for up to £3,000 if you opt for a combination of scrappage funding and bus and tram passes)
