 New CEO Announcement

Written byLauren De Moet

We are delighted to announce that Mark Hill has been appointed as the new CEO of Merton Chamber of Commerce.

Mark brings a wealth of experience from a strong consultancy and commercial background. He’s been most recently working with Lander Sports Investment to front their commercial engagements and at PwC was their Managing Director of their Customer and Commercial Transformation in their TMT consulting division. Prior to that, he was also the Managing Director of a North American Tech SaaS business – ResponseTek, growing the business across Europe, Middle East and Australia.

The Board would like to offer thanks to Directors Delia Porter our interim CEO, and Eleanor Merrick for their leadership and support during the last few months working alongside Janet Benjamin and Lauren de Moet and the wider Chamber team.

Mark will officially start with us on 12 January 2026, and we are very pleased that he will be joining us at our Christmas Lunch on 10 December, giving members an early opportunity to meet him – bookings close today and it’s not too late to secure your space if you book now.

Ahead of his January start, Mark has this message for our members: “I’m thrilled to be joining Merton Chamber of Commerce and to have the opportunity to support the businesses that make this borough and community such a vibrant place to live and work. As a Merton resident myself, I know how important a strong local economy is to our community, and I can’t wait to get started alongside the fantastic Chamber team.”

Sarah Austin, Chair of the Board of Directors said:
“We are absolutely delighted to welcome Mark to the Chamber. His experience, energy and commitment to supporting local businesses make him an exceptional addition to the team. We look forward to working closely with him as we continue to strengthen and champion Merton’s business community.”
