Meet the Team
Meet our wonderful team members who help make Merton Chamber.
Diana Sterck
Chief Executive
A saying that I strongly believe in is that an organisation is all about its people. These days we often get to know someone by email, without ever having met them. This page is designed to give you a small insight to our team.
In my day to day work as Chief Executive I am responsible for running and developing our increasingly diverse business. As a marketer I believe our success lies in placing the customer at the heart of our business and I welcome any feedback from you that will support us in our journey towards excellence.
Bernadette Cook
Accounts & Bookkeeping
My role at the Chamber is to manage all the Financial functions at Merton Chamber.
I joined the Chamber in 2009 as a contractor and am now a part-time employee. Over that time the Chamber has grown a lot in size and diversity of activities which provides plenty of challenges and interest. This has given me the opportunity to use my experience of developing reporting systems to provide useful Financial Information.
Caroline Cook
Membership and Events Manager
I started working at Merton Chamber back in 2002 and am responsible for managing Chamber membership, managing our online marketing campaigns, and coordinating the Chamber’s events programme.
These activities provide me with a great overview of many of Merton Chambers’ services, and they have enabled me to grow the Chambers’ network across the borough. It is a great job, and I love the fact that I know so many businesses across the borough, and this means that I can help identify what support a business might need, and help point them in the right direction.

Kevan Dunne
Business Adviser
As a SFEDI accredited business consultant, I have extensive experience in the enterprise support sector having worked in supporting SME’s for over 13 years. I specialise in business planning, financial analysis and in developing viable financial proposals for presentation to potential lenders/investors. I have successfully assisted over 50 small business clients to raise finance in recent years to start or grow their business, totalling some £1.5m.
Most importantly, working with a client developing an effective business plan and follow up support greatly increases the chance of success and identifies whether the business is really viable and delivers what the owner wants from it both financially and non-financially.
