Meet the Team

Meet our wonderful team members who help make Merton Chamber.

Diana Sterck : Chief Executive

Diana Sterck

Chief Executive

A saying that I strongly believe in is that an organisation is all about its people. These days we often get to know someone by email, without ever having met them. This page is designed to give you a small insight to our team.

In my day to day work as Chief Executive I am responsible for running and developing our increasingly diverse business. As a marketer I believe our success lies in placing the customer at the heart of our business and I welcome any feedback from you that will support us in our journey towards excellence.

Caroline Cook

Membership and Events Manager

I started working at Merton Chamber back in 2002 and am responsible for managing Chamber membership, managing our online marketing campaigns, and coordinating the Chamber’s events programme.

These activities provide me with a great overview of many of Merton Chambers’ services, and they have enabled me to grow the Chambers’ network across the borough. It is a great job, and I love the fact that I know so many businesses across the borough, and this means that I can help identify what support a business might need, and help point them in the right direction.

Bernadette Cook : Accounts & Bookkeeping

Bernadette Cook

Accounts & Bookkeeping

My role at the Chamber is to manage all the Financial functions at Merton Chamber.

I joined the Chamber in 2009 as a contractor and am now a part-time employee. Over that time the Chamber has grown a lot in size and diversity of activities which provides plenty of challenges and interest. This has given me the opportunity to use my experience of developing reporting systems to provide useful Financial Information.

Raymond Kinsella

Business Engagement Manager

I joined Merton Chamber of Commerce in May 2012 as Business Engagement Manager. My primary role is facilitating stronger links between Merton businesses and the Community.

As a local resident, I’m aware of some of the fantastic support that businesses are already providing to the community and that there is an appetite to do more. I am keen to hear from businesses that are passionate about the community but feel there are barriers to them becoming more involved.

Joy Gerard : Membership and Events Administrator

I joined Merton chamber of commerce in December 2014 as an Apprentice.  I provide support with Membership and Events.  Merton Chamber has allowed me to be part of such wonderful and hard working team and business community. I have met quite a few local businesses  and learnt many different things about businesses at networking events we hold. I am pleased to be part of Merton Chamber of Commerce and help them support Merton’s local business.

Kevan Dunne : Business Consultant

Kevan Dunne

Business Adviser

As a SFEDI accredited business consultant, I have extensive experience in the enterprise support sector having worked in supporting SME’s for over 13 years.  I specialise in business planning, financial analysis and in developing viable financial proposals for presentation to potential lenders/investors.  I have successfully assisted over 50 small business clients to raise finance in recent years to start or grow their business, totalling some £1.5m.

Most importantly, working with a client developing an effective business plan and follow up support greatly increases the chance of success and identifies whether the business is really viable and delivers what the owner wants from it both financially and non-financially.

Siobhan McIntosh : Receptionist/Property Assistant

I enjoy being part of a friendly, hard working team and business community that supports local growing businesses and clients.

The Generator Business Centre and Merton Chamber of Commerce is an efficient place to work where businesses can thrive.

Liz Alexander

I joined Merton Chamber of Commerce in September 2015 as a part time receptionist at The Generator Business Centre.  My role is to give help and support to both tenants and visitors in the day to day running of the centre, and also to support Clair in her role as centre manager. I very much enjoy being part of such a positive team and being able to provide good customer service to the businesses and to their clients.
