The finalists for the 2026 Merton Best Business Awards have been announced!

Written byLauren De Moet

With 209 applications this year, our judges had the difficult task of reviewing an impressive range of entries from businesses and organisations across the borough.

A huge thank you to everyone who entered. We know how much time and thought goes into putting an awards entry together, and whether or not you have been shortlisted, we are incredibly grateful that you chose to share your story with us.

Congratulations to our 2026 finalists – see the full list here.

And the awards journey isn’t over for our other entrants. All eligible businesses that entered, shortlisted or not, can take part in the public vote for the People’s Choice Award.

Eleanor Merrick, CEO of Merton Chamber of Commerce, said:

“The strength and breadth of this year’s entries made shortlisting a real challenge. Congratulations to our finalists, but also a huge thank you to every business that took the time to enter.

“We are also enormously grateful to our judges – from our generous sponsors to industry specialists from across Merton – who gave their time and expertise to the process.”

Special thanks to Merton Council, our Headline Sponsor, and to all our sponsors and partners for making the awards possible.

We look forward to celebrating with our finalists – and revealing our 2026 winners – at New Wimbledon Theatre on Thursday 8 October.
