Waggy Walk is back! Raise money to support people across Merton whilst having labrad-oodles of fun

Join local community charity Wimbledon Guild for their biggest fundraising event of the year – Waggy Walk is happening on Saturday 7th October 2023.

Support Wimbledon Guild whilst having labrad-oodles of fun with your canine companion, family, or friends. All money raised goes towards the charity’s work to make sure that no one in Merton has to face life’s challenges alone.

Advance tickets cost £30 for a family (2 adults & 2 children), £15 for an adult, £5 for a child (under 4’s go free), and dogs go free if you book in advance! See below what’s included in your ticket price…

  • Every dog who completes the event will receive a goody bag from luxury pet shop, Pet Pavilion.
  • The routes start and finish at the award-winning Hand in Hand pub which will be providing pre-walk drinks and snacks.
  • All Waggy walkers can enjoy a post-walk sausage roll, freshly baked by Two Teaspoons (veggie and meat options available).
  • Plus, local estate agent John D Wood will be giving out goodies for your four-legged friends and Centre Court Shopping Centre are giving goodies out too.

No dog? No problem!

Waggy Walk is a fun and friendly day out for everyone, we have people taking part with or without dogs.

Walk with others

Come along just before midday and meet new people as you walk the 4k or 7k route together.

Wimbledon Guild would like to thank this year’s event sponsors – local estate agents John D Wood, specialist property lawyers Ashworth Solicitors, Centre Court Shopping Centre and luxury pet store Pet Pavilion.

Waggy Walk comes at a time when Wimbledon Guild is supporting more of our community than ever with the rising cost of living. Mark Williams, Head of Communications and Fundraising says: “Last year we supported 3,500 people across Merton, and the number of people we are helping continues to rise year on year. Most of the phone calls we’re getting at the minute are from people asking for help accessing food and energy support. Some of the stories we hear are heartbreaking.”

“Last year’s Waggy Walk raised over £10,000 – money which has helped us offer financial, practical, and mental health support to people across our community. We know that this winter is going to be hard; by taking part in Waggy Walk you’ll be helping us make sure that no one in Merton has to face life’s challenges alone.”
